The Fire Guardians — Flame, Flicker, and Spark

The Fire Guardians are a family of three fully functional, hand-thrown and altered red dragon teapots, each one unique in size, expression, and character.

The idea first struck me during a deep depression in 2020 — a vision that lived in my mind for four years until August 2024, when I finally decided to bring it to life. I spent the next year experimenting, discovering, and thoroughly documenting the process, finishing all three in July 2025. Inspired by Uncle Iroh's dragon teapots from the animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender, this collection has long since taken on a life of its own.

Flame, Flicker, and Spark are siblings rather than twins — unmistakably kin, yet entirely their own — united by their dragon spouts, tail handles, flame lids, and rich red, black, and gold palette.

Together they guard a creative fire, in my practice and in the world. Each one is unique, striking, and full of lessons (and tea).
